The plan
Fly Male (MLE) via Dubai, Doha, or Singapore. Seaplane or speedboat to your resort — the speedboat is limited to resorts within 20 minutes of Male, seaplane for further atolls (most over-water villa resorts). Pick one resort and commit: Soneva Jani or Fushi for barefoot luxury, Cheval Blanc Randheli for the brand, Joali for design, Niyama for party energy. Book a sunset dolphin cruise, private sandbank picnic, and at least one night in the overwater villa. Spa days, snorkeling the house reef, and dinner on the beach. Return seaplane to MLE, fly home. Do NOT book two resorts — the seaplane day eats 10 hours.
