The plan
Fly Buenos Aires. 2 days BA: Recoleta, La Boca, a steakhouse night. Fly BA-El Calafate 3h. Days 3-4 El Calafate: Perito Moreno glacier boat and hike. Bus to El Chalten 3h. Days 5-7 El Chalten: hike Laguna de los Tres (Fitz Roy), Laguna Torre, Loma del Pliegue. Long bus El Chalten-El Calafate-Puerto Natales, Chile (border crossing, full day). Days 8-11 Torres del Paine: the W trek (4 days) or day hikes from Hotel Las Torres. Bus to Punta Arenas 3h, day 12 fly PUQ-Santiago-home. Pack for four seasons in one day. Weather dictates — always have a buffer day.
