Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport is the primary airport for Mumbai and the second-busiest in India. BOM handles around 52 million passengers per year and sits about 12 miles northwest of central Mumbai. The airport is the primary commercial aviation gateway to India's financial capital and handles extensive operations from most Indian carriers plus major international airlines.
