Ryanair and easyJet are large European low-cost airline groups with different fleet and airport strategies. Their own July and June 2026 disclosures report 647 and 359 aircraft respectively, replacing the much older counts previously shown on this page.
Ryanair's own fleet page reports 647 aircraft at 1 July 2026, predominantly 737s with 26 A320s. easyJet reported 359 aircraft after its 100th A320neo-family delivery in June 2026 and describes an all-Airbus fleet.
Ryanair's scale helps it cover a huge number of secondary and leisure airports. easyJet often fits travelers who want major-city European airports, familiar Airbus cabins, and a different airport mix.
For low-cost carriers, the headline fare is only part of the answer. Airport location, bag rules, seat selection, and schedule timing can matter more than the airline brand.
Choose Ryanair when route coverage and lowest fare matter most. Choose easyJet when its airport mix, schedule, or Airbus-heavy fleet gives you the better practical trip.
