How to Play Geo Blackjack
A population card game with real cities. Build a hand near 21 million people, then stand before you go over.
Play Geo BlackjackThe rules
Geo Blackjack uses city populations instead of playing-card values. Your total is the sum of the cities in your hand. The goal is to finish higher than the dealer without crossing 21 million people.
- Start with two cities. Each card shows a real city, country, continent, and population.
- Hit for choices. Hit reveals three city cards, and you choose one to add to your hand.
- Stand to lock. Standing freezes your total and starts the dealer reveal.
- Stay under 21 million. Going over 21 million busts the hand.
- Beat the dealer. Higher total wins if neither side busts. Exact ties push.
Dealer behavior
The dealer starts with one visible city and one hidden city. After you stand, the hidden city is revealed. The dealer then draws automatically from three-card city windows and keeps drawing until reaching at least 17 million people. The dealer has no manual choices.
Strategy tips
- Keep a few population anchors in mind. Knowing which cities are near 1M, 5M, or 10M makes each hit choice easier.
- Late in the hand, smaller regional cities can be stronger than famous megacities because they reduce bust risk.
- Do the dealer math before standing. A total below 17M gives the dealer room to catch you, while a total near 21M gives less room to improve.
- There are no splits, doubles, insurance, or bonus natural-blackjack payouts, so every decision is only about Hit or Stand.
