What is Guess the Airport?
A free daily airport-guessing game. The game is called AirlineQ. Two modes go live every day: US for major American hubs and World for everywhere else. Each mode has its own streak.
How to play
- Pick US or World. Pick the mode that matches the geography you know best, or play both.
- Read the first clue. A marquee airline that operates from the mystery airport. Sometimes that pins it; sometimes (United from a US hub) it's deliberately ambiguous.
- Guess any airport. Type a city, country, IATA, or ICAO code.
- Use distance + direction. Wrong guesses show how far off you are and which way to go.
- Solve in 6. Each clue narrows the pool. Most experienced players land it in 3 or 4.
Frequently asked questions
Is Guess the Airport free?
Yes. Daily puzzle, free, no account required. Premium is optional and only removes ads.
How do I guess the airport?
Each day you see a marquee airline that operates from the mystery airport. You have six guesses. Each wrong guess unlocks another clue — a second airline, a destination hint, distance and direction from your guess.
What's the difference between US and World mode?
US mode picks from major American hubs. World mode opens it up globally. Both modes get a fresh puzzle every day and have their own streaks.
Can I play by IATA or ICAO code?
Yes. Type any combination of city, country, IATA (three letters), or ICAO (four letters). The autocomplete matches all of them.
Where does the data come from?
Real scheduled airline departures. Every airline and route in the clue panel is actually operated from the mystery airport on the puzzle date.
