Livery is FlightQ’s daily airline guessing game. Read the colours, watch the tail take shape, and name the airline in six guesses.
An airline’s livery is its aircraft paint scheme. Livery begins with the tail’s colours in their true proportions, then reveals the design a little at a time. The challenge is recognising an airline from its colours, shapes and markings.
Start with the largest colour and the contrast colours. After each miss, look for the direction of a stripe, a curved emblem or a distinctive shape. You can search by airline name, two-letter IATA code or country. A guess only counts when you select an airline from the suggestions.
Fewer guesses make a better result. A correct daily answer earns XP through the shared FlightQ progression system, once per daily difficulty. Unlimited, losses, archive and review plays earn no daily XP. Share your colour row and guess trail from the result card; the airline name stays out of the shared text.
Yes. Everyone gets the same airline for each difficulty on a given date. All three change at midnight Eastern Time.
No. The amount of each colour stays the same. Only the arrangement changes, revealing more of the design.
Each correct daily difficulty earns its own XP award through your FlightQ progress. A loss earns no XP. Unlimited rounds do not award XP or affect daily streaks. Reloading a finished puzzle, playing the archive, or using the review tool does not earn another daily award.
Today and yesterday are free. Older puzzles are available through the Premium archive.
Your result shows the puzzle number, tail colours and guess trail, without naming the airline. Its link opens the date and difficulty you played. Cancelling the share sheet does not copy anything; you can choose Copy result afterward.
Daily, archive and Unlimited guesses are saved in this browser when local storage is available. Keep using the same browser to resume an unfinished puzzle.
