Dublin Airport

Dublin Airport is the primary airport for Ireland and one of the fastest-growing airports in Western Europe. DUB handles around 34 million passengers per year and sits about six miles north of central Dublin. The airport is the primary hub for Aer Lingus, which has become one of the most successful transatlantic narrowbody operators in Europe using A321LR aircraft. Ryanair also operates substantial capacity from Dublin, though its primary base is Stansted. DUB handles extensive operations from most major North American carriers, with direct flights from Dublin to New York, Boston, Chicago, and many other American cities. The airport has two terminals (T1 and T2), with T2 being the newer and larger facility. DUB has been expanding to handle continued growth in Irish tourism and business travel. The airport offers US Customs preclearance, which allows passengers to clear US immigration and customs before departure, arriving in the US as domestic passengers. This preclearance is a significant operational advantage for transatlantic flights.
