Borderline is a country-chain map game: name one country, then keep naming countries that share a land border with the last one, without repeats, for as long as you can.
The map fills as your chain grows, and the run ends on a miss, a repeat, or a country with no unused exits.
Borderline sits alongside FlightQ's border geography games, map games, and daily geography games.
Start with any country. Every answer after that must be a country that shares a land border with the previous answer, and you cannot repeat a country.
A run ends when you repeat a country or name one that does not border the last answer. Hitting a dead end does not end the run: the game switches to a jump, where your next answer must be the unused country whose border is closest to the live country's border, and a wrong jump ends the run.
Yes. Borderline uses the country geometry on the map, so sovereign land borders through overseas territory count.
Yes. Alongside the world countries mode there is a U.S. states mode with the same rule: every answer must share a border with the previous state, no repeats.
Border-chain and route games like Travle, where you connect places across a map. Borderline's twist is survival: the map fills as your chain grows, and when you hit a dead end you must jump to the closest unused country to keep the run alive.
