Tokyo International Airport

Tokyo Haneda Airport is the primary domestic airport for Tokyo and an increasingly important international gateway. HND handles around 70 million passengers per year, making it one of the busiest airports in Asia. The airport sits about nine miles south of central Tokyo, which gives it a significant time advantage over Narita for passengers traveling to central Tokyo. Haneda is the primary hub for JAL and ANA domestic operations, handling most flights within Japan. Over the last decade, HND has expanded its international operations significantly, with new runway and terminal capacity added specifically for international flights. Many long-haul routes that previously operated at NRT now fly to HND, particularly premium services like first and business class-heavy routes. The airport has three terminals (T1, T2, and T3), with T3 dedicated to international flights. Haneda is connected to central Tokyo by the Keikyu railway and the Tokyo Monorail, both taking about 20 minutes.
