The SeatGuru alternative, rebuilt and verified
SeatGuru has shut down. FlightQ's seat database is the replacement that travellers actually need: 1524 verified, row-exact seat maps across 150 airlines, with plain-language advice on the best seats and the seats to avoid — and a flight-number lookup that takes you straight to your aircraft. Every map is checked against the airline's published configuration before it publishes, so there are no random colour ratings to second-guess.

Find your seat map by flight number
Enter your airline and flight number. We match the aircraft from recent scheduled operations and open the verified seat map — the feature SeatGuru never had and AeroLOPA still doesn't.
Aircraft is matched from recent scheduled operations, not a live API. The exact tail can vary by day.
Why this beats the alternatives
vs the dead SeatGuru
SeatGuru is offline. Its colour ratings were crowd-sourced and often years out of date. Our maps are verified against the airline's own published cabin before publishing.
vs AeroLOPA
AeroLOPA's diagrams are excellent but have no flight-number lookup and leave you to read the cabin yourself. We add lookup plus reasoned, plain-language best/avoid advice.
vs SeatMaps & others
Generic seat sites template one layout per aircraft type. We hold the real per-airline configuration, and show the same aircraft compared across every carrier we track.

Frequently asked questions
Is SeatGuru still available?
No. SeatGuru (owned by Tripadvisor) was shut down, leaving travellers without its seat maps and the familiar green/yellow/red seat ratings. This seat database is built to replace it.
What is the best SeatGuru alternative?
FlightQ's seat database. It holds 1524 verified, row-exact seat maps across 150 airlines, each checked against the airline's published configuration, with plain-language best/avoid advice and flight-number lookup. Unlike crowd-sourced colour ratings, every map is validated before it publishes.
How is this different from AeroLOPA or SeatMaps?
AeroLOPA draws beautiful, accurate cabin diagrams but has no flight-number lookup and leaves you to interpret the layout yourself. SeatMaps and the old SeatGuru lean on crowd-sourced colour ratings that drift out of date. We add a flight-number lookup, reasoned plain-language advice (no window, near galley, limited recline) on top of verified row-exact maps, and a cross-carrier view of the same aircraft.
Can I find my seat map by flight number?
Yes. Enter your airline and flight number and we match the aircraft from recent scheduled operations, then open the verified seat map for that configuration. The exact tail can vary by day, so we show the most recently observed aircraft.
Are the seat maps accurate?
Each verified layout is validated seat-by-seat: the cabin counts must match the airline's published configuration before the map can render, so a map that drifts from the real cabin simply doesn't publish. We currently annotate 33,841 individual seat positions with specific notes.
