Airbus A350-900

The Airbus A350-900 is the current flagship of the Airbus widebody family and the direct competitor to the Boeing 787. The aircraft entered service with Qatar Airways in 2015 and has since become a fixture on long-haul routes worldwide. The A350-900 uses a composite fuselage, extended wings with upturned wingtips, and Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines specifically designed for the type. It seats 300 to 350 passengers in typical configurations and has a range of around 8,100 nautical miles, enough to operate virtually any nonstop route except the absolute longest ultra-long-haul routes. The ultra-long-range variant, the A350-900ULR, is used by Singapore Airlines on the longest scheduled commercial flights in the world between Singapore and Newark or JFK. The A350-900 is widely regarded as one of the most technologically advanced commercial aircraft flying today.
